TAKE A STROLL ON DOLLAR STREET

I can’t really explain how I came across this site. I can tell you it was a few months ago as I sat down to do something purposeful on my computer and somehow got sucked into the black hole known as the internet. I’m sure some of you can relate!

Bill Gates had featured it on his website, and he raved about it.

Dollar Street is a site that houses more than 30, 000 photos from 46 countries demonstrating how people really live.

You can compare food, bathrooms, and even toys! It has been hailed as one of the most powerful education resources online.

Take a look and let your creative educator minds wander. From comparing and contrasting cultures to economics and geography, students can thoroughly explore this authentic resource. And, it can be used in a wide range of grade levels.
