Online learning. Virtual learning. Continuous learning. Remote learning. E learning. Whatever you call it, we are all doing it! And, I must say, I’m incredibly impressed with how you have whole-hardheartedly take on this challenge.

The past several weeks as I’ve had the pleasure of serving as a virtual coach with a number of schools, I have learned there is a careful balance between feeling informed and having plenty of resources and feeling overwhelmed by all that is out there. My advice: do one or two things well. Maximize the potential of that plaform or site. For example, if you are using Zoom, explore all the possibilities! Try out the annotate and polling features! But, don’t feel compelled to layer on multiple other sites and resources. This can quickly become overwhelming for you, your students, and even parents!

That being said, if you feel you need to a new resource to spice things up as the end of the year approaches, I have something to share with you. I’ve created this Padlet that will be a growing list of articles and resources to support you during this time. So, check it out if you are interested. And, if you are nearing that overwhelm state, just bookmark it for a later date!

Also, taking care of yourself is incredibly important. Zoom fatigue is a real thing! So, what are you doing to take care of you? You might remember Katherine Thomas and the post she shared on how to create a positive routine. She sent me an article she wrote recently on the topic of self-care for educators during the pandemic, and I thought many of you might find it helpful. You can find it here. She also is providing free access to some worksheets to go along with her article which can be found here.

As you explore and learn new things during this time, don’t forget to share with others! If you know of some resources/sites I should add to my growing Padlet, please reach out!

Take care and stay healthy!
