GRATITUDE IN 2020

I’m jumping on today to officially say goodbye to 2020 as we prepare to celebrate Christmas and the end of this most chaotic year!

It is easy to walk away from 2020 with loads of disappointment, shock, and even flashes of anger. But, I’m consciously choosing to also walk away with some bits of gratitude. For one thing, I’m thankful for all of you! Every time I’ve toyed with the idea of walking away from the online world (and it has happened more than once!), I will run into one of you at school where you share how much you appreciate the blog. Those words of encouragement truly keep me going!

I’m also incredibly thankful that I can say my family has remained healthy during the pandemic, as I’ve watched many suffer. My husband and I also both have jobs and have been able to provide for our family, a luxury that was stripped from many this year. So, I’m choosing to meditate on these things and let them remind me of God’s goodness in this crazy world.

I hope you will join me in rounding out the year with a few moments spent in gratitude. It does the soul good. Merry Christmas! And, here is to a healthy, joyful 2021!
